Eva Irene (Renning) Sorenson

Eva Renning (Sorenson) was born in Minnesota in February 1891 to Frank and Lydia K. Renning. Frank immigrated from Norway. Lydia was born in Minnesota.

Eva attended the Kasson High School in Kasson, MN. She was active in athletics and played on the Kasson Girl’s Basketball Team. She graduated in 1910.

After graduating from High School she attended the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, IL.

Eva was confirmed at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Kasson, MN on 10 July 1921. Her confirmation certificate from the Diocese of Minnesota was signed by Bishop Frank Arthur McElwain.

Sometime during this period Eva married Harry O. Sorenson whose father Oscar C. F. Sorenson owned the O.C.F. Sorenson Milling Co., Kasson, Minnesota. Oscar operated the “Rockton” water-powered mill north of Kasson. Oscar also had a wind-powered mill near Claremont. You can find more information on Eva here.
